One of our newest Chamber members, Memory Haven Sumner, is ready to open their doors this week and accept new residents. Their Grand Opening and Open House is scheduled for Thursday, April 3rd, 5pm, at their new Sumner location, 5107 Parker Rd. E.
Memory Haven Sumner is a new memory care home for people with dementia. Changing attitudes in memory care has called for a new direction in resident care and evolved into something more dignified, such as small cottages. Memory Haven is a de-institutionalized facility that restores individuals to a home environment within the community. It combines small "cottage" homes with the full range of personal care to meet the needs of the people living there.
