The City of Sumner celebrated the opening of the Sumner Link Trailhead on October 23, 2014, with elected officials, city staff, community stakeholders and residents. The Chamber presented the City of Sumner with a Proclamation acknowledging the completion of the Trailhead and was pleased to see one of our members, Impressive Signs and Graphics, who installed the trailhead arch and sign, at the community celebration.
The new Sumner Link Trail links the Interurban Trail and Lakeland Hills Trail on the north and the Foothills Trail and Riverwalk Trail to the south. If you haven't had an opportunity to ride your bike or walk the trail, plan to on the next sunny weekend. The Sumner Link Trail offers the chance to experience the valley along the White River including river views, wildlife and native vegetation as well as agriculture and industry.
