Wranglers Visit Puyallup Council

It seems Puyallup City Manager, Bill McDonald, is a true cowboy at heart.  Seen here in his Puyallup Rodeo cowboy hat at Tuesday night's council meeting, he was all smiles as three Washington State Fair Wranglers promoted this year's Rodeo events.  Mayor Knutsen and the Council listened to updates about this year's scheduled events and the bull riders who have traveled from all over the country to attend the event in Puyallup and compete for a purse of approximately $350,000.

The Wranglers invited everyone to attend their Pancake Breakfast at Pioneer Pavilion this Friday morning, Sept. 5th, from 7:30 to 10:00am.  They'll be serving pancakes off the griddle, scrambled eggs, sausage and beverages for just $2 per person.  After breakfast, the annual Cattle Drive will start at 10:00am at the intersection of Meridian and East Main and travel down Meridian to the Gold Gate at the Fairgrounds.  Rodeo shows will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday with shows at 1:00pm and 6:30pm.  Remember, there's free fair admission Friday morning until noon with a non-perishable food donation to the Puyallup Food Bank.

So mark your calendars for the Sept. 5th Wrangler pancake breakfast, cattle drive, and the first day of the Rodeo as the 2014 Washington State Fair kicks off in downtown Puyallup.
