Legislative Tours Garner Awareness and Support for Centeris Data Center

The Centeris Data Center, located on the Benaroya Campus on So. Hill, recently hosted a Chamber Legislative tour of the facilities to highlight some of the issues impacting the local data center and regional technology infrastructure.  The Puyallup Sumner Chamber of Commerce is working with Centeris to bring awareness of these issues to our local legislative representatives and support local technology investments.  In addition, our Chamber will be including these issues in our 2017 Legislative Agenda and ongoing advocacy for our local business issues.

If chamber members are interested in learning more about these issues and our 2017 Legislative Agenda, all members are welcome to attend our Government Affairs Committee meetings the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30-8:30am in the Chamber office.  Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 1st.

Anchor Bank Hosts October Business After Hours

Once again, Anchor Bank in Sunrise Village hosted a great fall holiday party for Chamber members.  Our October Business After Hours featured the amazing staff at Anchor Bank, tasty beer, brats and sauerkraut from Mama Stortini's (rave reviews on the pretzel rolls) and traditional German festival photo opportunities that put smiles on everyone's faces.  Check out the photos below and be sure to stop in at Anchor Bank and say hi when you're in the area.  If you're like our members last Thursday, you won't want to leave.  Many of our members stayed well after closing talking business and catching up on the latest news.  A big Chamber thank you to Anchor Bank and their wonderful hospitality.

New Beginnings Bridal Studio Opens in Sunrise Village

A big Chamber welcome to New Beginnings Bridal Studio in Sunrise Village.  Our ambassadors rolled out the "blue" carpet and ribbon as we celebrated the opening of their new location with owners, Tina Berry and Daron Snyder.  The new location in Sunrise Village has been planned for many months and the sophisticated interior design showcased the gorgeous bridal gowns on display for the event as well as the many awards this local bridal boutique has amassed.  Stop in and say hi to Tina and Daron if you're in the area and show your chamber support.

Fred Meyer Remodel Celebration with the Sumner High School Marching Band

Chamber ambassadors wore their blue as downtown Sumner celebrated their newly remodeled Fred Meyer store bright and early on Friday, October 14th. Sumner Council members Kathy Hayden and Patrick Reed assisted Fred Meyer representatives, Zack Stratton, Tonya Awalt and Candy Redmond as they cut the ribbon and kick started the morning with the rockin' sounds of the Sumner High School Marching Band reverberating throughout the store.  Congratulations to Fred Meyers on your new facility and for putting together one of the best ribbon cutting ceremonies ever!
